COSCA Further Steps in Counselling

Course Information

This course along with others is delivered in partnership with Mairi Nye Associates. This course has been designed for those people who have completed the COSCA Counselling Skills Certificate (or equivalent). It offers them the opportunity to reconnect with previous learning and experience to update their practice and further develop and deepen their knowledge of counselling skills.

This course aims are to:-

• Further develop the counselling skills of participants who have completed the COSCA Counselling Skills Certificate course (or equivalent).
• Provide opportunities for participants to reconnect with their previous learning and experience.
• Help participants to update their practice and understanding of counselling skills.
• Assist participants to further deepen and develop their knowledge and use of counselling skills.

Teaching Methods:-

Teaching methods include theoretical inputs, small and large groups work and skills practice. It is taught over 30 hours.

Cost: £315 (payable 1 week before the course starts)

Mairi Nye Associates is an organisational member of COSCA and Mairi is a COSCA accredited trainer. She has many years experience of working in the drug and alcohol field and has delivered training for both public & private sector organisations. Mairi holds a Certificate of Qualification in Social Work and an Advance Diploma in Counselling and is a practicing counsellor and supervisor. She adheres to the COSCA Statement of Ethics and Code of Practice.
