Sunflower Garden
Sunflower Garden has been working with children within the city of Edinburgh who are affected by drug or alcohol misuse in their families, since being established in 2003.
The service is child friendly and child focussed in its work, providing a range of therapeutic services to children aged from birth to the end of primary school. The project aims to build resilience in children
through improving self esteem, increasing confidence, and helping children to find ways of coping with thier situations through expressing and managing their worries, feelings and fears.
The staff group is multi-disciplinary, with backgrounds in social work, art therapy, counselling and nursing. Students from social work, art therapy and social care regularly come to
The service welcomes referrals from midwives, health visitors, social workers, schools, drugs services, children’s services and GPs, as well as from parents and families. If you would like to make a referral please contact us to discuss the process.
