Sunflower Garden works with children from 5-18 years old affected by substance misuse within their families. As a service we are child friendly and child focused, providing a range of therapeutic and support services.
The service aims to build resilience through improving self esteem, increasing confidence and helping children find ways of coping with their situations through expressing their worries, feelings and fears..
Taxi Buddy
Within Sunflower we have a team of volunteers who assist by escorting children to Sunflower Garden, and then escorting children to a specified location at the end of their group/individual session.
The purpose of this is to ensure that the children are safe, secure and relaxed on the way to and from the project, and connecting them with their carers at home. All transport is provided through a local taxi firm.
